Summer Sale 2009 Conclusion June 16, 2009
We just concluded our summer auction, which had almost 1000 lots of world paper money. We offered many types we never previously saw and the sale had its share of highlights (all prices hammer), including Burma LOT 2635 100 Rupees at $9250; Canada LOT 2655 25 Dollars at $6250; China LOT 2714 10 Yuan at $3300; Cyprus LOT 2763 5 Pounds at $6500; Kiau Chau LOT 3098 10 Dollars at $5500; Macau LOT 3152 50 Patacas at $2800; Qatar LOT 3300 set at $2900; Scotland LOT 3345 10 Shillings at $1600; Syria LOT 3422 100 Livres at $6000; United States LOT 3451 5 Dollars MPC replacement at $15,000; and many more. Traditional areas of strength flexed its muscle, and new areas emerged.

I am pleased to report that our Knight Live system worked well overall. We are making changes for optimal performance; please contact me at grbaypa@aol.com if there is anything that could work even better or for new features that could be added to make things even easier.

On to Memphis, where we are accepting consignments of scarce/rare world bank notes for our PCDA floor sale. Mid-October in Saint Louis will be the place to go. We already have some outstanding material and have received assurances of more.

And while I try not to get maudlin in this forum, this time seems propitious for two salutes:

1) Happy Father's Day
2) Special recognition to those who have been able to attend most/all the Memphis shows

Hope everyone has a great summer.
